It has never been more important for students to make informed choices about their post-16 future. Here at Vandyke, we offer a wide range of courses that includes A level subjects, but also some more vocationally orientated courses. Please click on the buttons at the bottom of the page to find out more about each subject.
We welcome applications from students who are currently studying with us and from students who are new to Vandyke – we do not give priority to applications from students enrolled at particular schools. Typically, between 15% and 25% of our Sixth Form cohort are new to Vandyke Upper School.
Applying for Sixth Form
Thank you to all Year 11 students, parents and carers who attended our Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 6th November 2025.
Applying to the Sixth Form at Vandyke is an online process. Applications are now open – please apply via this link. If you are an existing Vandyke student, you will have received your login details so that you can begin your application. If you do not currently attend Vandyke, you will be guided through the process to make your application.

Sixth Form Induction
A Sixth Form Induction Programme for applicants starting in September 2026 will take place on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th June 2026. Please do not book holidays during these very important induction days. It is critical that students attend, as subject teachers set key induction tasks that need to be introduced and explained. These must be completed by students before the start of term in September.
