Sixth Form Open Evening
6pm – 9pm, Thursday 7th November 2024
All Year 11 students and their parents/carers are invited to our Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 7th November.
You will be able to tour the school, meet staff and students, and hear a short presentation by the Headteacher and Director of Sixth Form in the theatre. These presentations will take place throughout the evening and visitors will receive a ticket on arrival for a timed slot.
Tours can be taken with guides or you are welcome to tour on your own. Refreshments are available from our café throughout the evening. Teachers and staff are situated around the site to assist you and to answer any questions you may have.
For students new to Vandyke who would like the opportunity to visit the site during the school day, please contact [email protected] in order to arrange a tour with a member of the Sixth Form team.

Vandyke Upper School Open Evening

Vandyke Upper School Open Mornings: Monday 30th September – Friday 11th October
Our Open Evening was held on Thursday 26th September.
Year 8 students, parents and carers were able to tour the school, meet staff and students, watch demonstrations and hear a short presentation by the Headteacher in the theatre.
Student tour guides were available, but visitors were also welcome to tour on their own. Refreshments were available from our café throughout the evening, and teachers and staff were situated around the site to assist and answer any questions.
We also hosted a number of Open Mornings, which allowed students, parents and carers to see the school in action on a normal working day. Tours took place every morning from Monday 30th September to Friday 11th October, beginning at 9am, 9.45am and 10.30am.
If you were unable to attend our Open Evening or one of our open mornings, please contact the school office, and we will happily arrange for you to have a tour of the school on a date which is convenient for you.
Vandyke is heavily over-subscribed, so it is important to submit your application before the deadline of 31 October 2024. Central Bedfordshire Council residents should apply using this online application form, and non-CBC applicants should apply through their local council.
