Revision guides
As GCSE courses progress, students may need additional revision resources to help them consolidate their knowledge and prepare fully for their GCSE exams. These resources can be expensive but, as a school, we can purchase in bulk at a discounted price. This letter will tell you more about purchasing revision guides through the school.
If you wish to purchase any revision guides, you can do so at any point during the school year via the Vandyke Upper School Shop.
Students who attract Pupil Premium funding will be eligible for resources paid for by the School. Please place your order using this order form, which should be e-mailed to [email protected] or handed in at the Finance Office at school.
Revision and coursework sessions
At Vandyke, Year 11 students are offered a wide range of after-school revision sessions to support their learning as they prepare for exams. As well as after-school revision sessions throughout the academic year, teachers also offer a range of revision sessions during the Easter holidays in the run-up to final exams.
Below you will find the current term-time revision timetable. In addition to these regular term-time sessions, which continue until students go on study leave, subject departments also run ‘warm up’ sessions immediately before most exams – details will be made available as exam season approaches.
Y11 Revision Sessions
All sessions 3.05pm – 4pm, unless otherwise stated.
Music – Students can book practice rooms for use at break and lunchtime
Drama – Studio available to book for rehearsals for practical units. Sign up on form on studio door.
