Josie to follow in Adele’s footsteps at The Brit School

We’re delighted to announce that our very own Josie R is off to The Brit School in September! Whilst we will be very sad to see her go, this is an incredibly exciting opportunity for her and we are so proud of her for acing the auditions and gaining her well-deserved place. This is what Josie had to say about her fantastic achievement:

“I am so excited and proud to share the news that I have been offered a place at The Brit School in London to study a Level 3 extended Diploma in Music. Every year thousands apply for five out-of-catchment places, so the audition process is very competitive, really stressful and takes months to hear back from each stage.

I cannot wait to spend every day with students who share the same passion and love of music as me, and I know the facilities and opportunities there will be amazing. It’s so exciting to think I will be performing on the same stage where Adele, Amy Winehouse, Jessie J and Raye once stood!

I have loved my time at Vandyke and will really miss everyone. I would like to say a big thank you to Miss Doe and Miss Beckwith for all their support and encouragement – and the lunchtime chats!”
