Ski Trip: Sestriere 2026
Ski Trip: Sestriere 2026
In February, a group of Y10 and Y11 students ventured to the Italian alps to the ski resort of Sestriere. The students were primarily beginners, with a small handful that had some previous skiing experience. All students were extremely excited following five hours of indoor ski lessons at the MK Snozone. The indoor lessons were an additional part of the experience that allowed students to master the basics and be able to make the most of skiing in the mountains.
Our students had an amazing time. Everyone was skiing on red runs by day 3 and there was no shortage of snow! The weather varied from sunny blue skies and cloudy snow days, which made it even more exciting. Each day students embraced the challenges and activities, from carrying ski equipment and mastering the infamous chair lifts, to going ice skating and competing in the evening games and quiz nights.
After five days of skiing, we ventured back to the UK via a final adventure in the French town of Briancon. Students explored the highest city in France and enjoyed a tasty French lunch… and many also had a famous French crepe!
Students did themselves and the school proud, with an array of positive comments from their ski instructors, teachers and others.
