On 28th February, 28 enthusiastic Media and Film Studies A-Level students embarked on an unforgettable trip to the Futures Festival at Pinewood Studios – one of Europe’s largest free careers events for aspiring Film and TV professionals.
The day was packed with opportunities to connect with top employers and industry experts, delve into hands-on workshops and soak up invaluable insights. A standout moment was the inspiring talk by Ali Plumb, renowned film journalist, who shared his personal journey and offered essential tips for breaking into the ever-evolving film industry.
Students also explored a vibrant careers fair dedicated to screen industry pathways, where they were excited to collect glossy pamphlets and stylish tote bags. The highlight for many was the whimsical Mad Hatter experience, crafted by a talented group of landscape designers, offering a delightful escape into a world of fantasy.
Overall, a great time was had by all – truly a steppingstone for our future filmmakers and media professionals!
