James Grant – Highly Commended for work to promote girls’ football in Leighton Linslade
On Monday 30th September, Stewart Seymour (Partnership Development Manager) and James Grant (School Sport Development Officer), from the Leighton Linslade School Sports Partnership based at Vandyke Upper School, attended the Barclays Girls Football School Partnership National Awards Ceremony at St. Georges Park – The Home of England Football.
The work James has been doing to promote girls’ football across the Leighton Linslade School Sports Partnership was recognised as Highly Commended in the “Outstanding use of Innovation” category.
This was no mean achievement, having been up against 400 other partnerships from across England.
James accepted the award from the Director of Marketing at Barclays in the presence of BBC presenter Clare Balding, Former Lioness Ellen White, and the Director of Women’s Football for the FA, Baroness Sue Campbell.
Huge congratulations to James for this thoroughly well-deserved achievement.
