Next week is SMILE WEEK!

We’re excited to announce that next week is SMILE Week, our annual fundraising extravaganza in aid of Smile Malawi, a UK charity which supports orphaned and vulnerable children in Malawi. There is so much going on throughout the week, and everyone can get involved.

There are a range of fantastic events taking place in the theatre during most lunchtimes. Tickets are just £1 per event and will be sold at break and lunchtime throughout the week.  The schedule is:

> Monday 18th – University Challenge: The History Department vs. The English Department
> Wednesday 20th – Teacher Taskmaster
> Thursday 21st – Dress To Impress: Blast From The Past
> Friday 22nd – Lip Sync Battle and Staff Dance

Also, on sale throughout the week will be Krispy Kreme doughnuts, sweets, cakes, raffle tickets, Sponge The Teacher, Kick-Up Challenge – to name just a few!  The most important thing for all students to remember is to… PLEASE BRING IN SOME CASH FOR THE WEEK.

Vandyke’s Got Talent

A real high point of the week is Vandyke’s Got Talent, which will take place on Wednesday 20th November at 5.45pm in the Theatre.  Tickets are £3 and can be purchased on Squid (the offer is open now). We will also have a raffle during the event.  This is open to friends, family, staff and students – we want as many people as possible to come along and support our amazing talent pool!

Non-Uniform Day

Students in Y9-11 can enjoy a non-uniform day on Friday 22nd November. This will cost just £2, which is payable on sQuid.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic week, raising lots of money for an important charity – we hope everyone will get involved and enjoy everything that is going on around school.
