Y9 girls take part in STEM workshop

Last week, STEM workshop provider, Creative Hut, visited our DT department to deliver a STEM workshop for our Y9 girls.

Students were given a real-world challenge to solve using LEGO Education SPIKE kits. Working in teams, they designed, built and tested their own solutions, applying creativity, problem-solving and STEM skills.

The providers praised our students for their enthusiasm and engagement. They even went so far as to say that our students have broken the record for coming up with solutions and programing the robots faster than any other students they’ve worked with!

It was a pleasure to have Creative Hut with us for the day, and we’re looking forward to the next workshop which will be taking place on 14th January.
