Uniformed Protective Services students out and about
Last term was a busy one for our Uniformed Protective Services students. In school, students have been focusing on discipline and its importance, particularly in the uniformed services. Students recently took part in a competition to see who could ‘bull polish’ the shiniest shoe. Congratulations to Katie for winning the competition and to Josie and Eva who came 2nd and 3rd.
Outside of school, students enjoyed a fantastic trip to Bletchley Park, where they learnt lots about the communication methods used during the war. All students had the opportunity to try using Morse code and the Enigma machine. They all had a thoroughly enjoyable day, and the information gained will help towards their coursework.
And further afield, students had to plan and undertake an expedition in the Peak District. They all demonstrated excellent map reading and teamworking skills, as well as resilience to keep going when they were finding it hard – well done to all.
