Art Club students’ work on display in town centre
For three weeks over October and November, our Year 9 Art Club students had their work exhibited on Leighton Buzzard High Street.
The exhibition took place at Culture Co:LB, formerly the town’s Wilko store. Throughout the summer and autumn of this year, this empty building has been used as a community arts space, a perfect opportunity to show the talents of our ‘world ready’ students out in the wider world.
The theme of the exhibition was wildlife, which complemented the wildlife art exhibition and ongoing mural one of our art technicians, Mr. Killoran, had created in the space. Our talented students created a selection of artwork in different mediums, with the subjects of sloths, bees and local birdlife.
The exhibition was well attended by students, parents and carers, as well as members of the public. Well done to the students who had their artwork on display, it was wonderful to hear all of the compliments your fantastic work received.
