Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The DofE Award is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of practical, cultural and adventurous activities, designed to support the personal and social development of our students. It offers an individual challenge and encourages young people to undertake exciting, constructive, challenging and enjoyable activities in their free time.

We currently have students working towards their Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.

All the awards involve students participating in the following areas for different lengths of time, depending on which award they are working towards:

  • Voluntary work
  • Skill building
  • Physical activity
  • Expedition
  • Residential (Gold only)

Expedition locations

BRONZE: The Chiltern Hills

SILVER: The White Peaks

GOLD: The Yorkshire Dales and The Dark Peaks
