Year 9 & 10 Students visit Parker Hannifin, Milton Keynes
On Tuesday 28th January a group of Year 10 STEM club students and Year 9 Robot club students visited the Parker Hannifin site in Milton Keynes.
Parker Hannifin are the global leader in motion and control technologies, providing precision engineering solution for commercial, mobile, Industrial and aerospace markets.
We were met by the Engineering Manager Jonathon Flood and Graduate Leadership trainee, Nick Ryan – an ex-Vandyke student.
During presentations about the company and the various routes into training, including post degree training, we were given some insight into the latest bleeding edge technology coming up in processors, (this is the next level after cutting edge).
Finally, we had a tour of the factory with question and answer sessions on various areas which had been highlighted during the day.
It was an informative and fun afternoon which was enjoyed and appreciated by the students involved.
