Year 13 Sports Festival

Sixth form Sports Day is one of the most highly anticipated events in the school calendar, and this year’s event did not disappoint.

During period four each student was able to choose between participating in netball, football, tennis, yoga or rounders. The sports events were organised in a well-planned manner, thanks to our fantastic PE department and Y13 Student Leadership team, there were opportunities for every student to join in.

The last hour of the day was then spent with students from each tutor group competing in traditional athletics races like relay and 100 meters. There were also activities such as tug of war, rock paper scissors and leapfrog races that students from each group competed in. The atmosphere was electric, with students cheering on their teammates, creating a sense of camaraderie and team spirit.

Overall, Sports Day was a huge success with the winning team being the orange team. It was an enjoyable and memorable day for all who participated, we now eagerly await next year’s event!
