Year 10 Students climb Snowdon for Shay
On Sunday 19th September, six of our Year 10 Vandyke students, along with friends and family, took on the challenge to climb Snowdon.
This was a charity climb for the students’ best friend, Shay, who was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, which is a terminal brain tumour. Shay sadly lost his fight in September 2020 before the students joined Vandyke Upper School and a charity has been set up to help support those in a similar position to Shay called Shay’s Smiles.
Well done to the students for raising money for this great cause; you all did extremely well.
Students are – Aaron Hill, Ben Douglas, Tom Stanger, Jack Elliot, Evans Coles and Lewis Hubber. Well done!
