Y12 Sport students visit Barcelona

The Y12 Sport students recently went on a sport and culture trip to Barcelona.

Travelling by plane, we landed midday and were excited to venture over to the Olympic area. Taking a cable car up to the Olympic swimming pool students explored the Olympic facilities and visited the Olympic stadium that is currently used as Barcelona FC’s stadium.

The second day was full of adventure, climbing up the Monserrat Mountains to visit the monastery. Students had a great sense of accomplishment after seeing the heights they had climbed.

With more exploring still to do, the final day was spent enjoying the history and culture of Barcelona, visiting the Sagrada Familia, cathedral and gothic quarter.  With students fully embracing the opportunities and culture on offer, there were many memories made, and ice creams enjoyed.
