SNOW CLOSURE

Due to significant snow across the school site, school is closed today for students in Years 9, 10 and 12. Year 11 students and Year 13 students should attend school. Lessons for students in Years 9, 10 and 12 will be taught on-line according to today’s normal timetable. Students should log onto Google Classroom. Mock exams continue for students in Year 11.

Any student in Years 9, 10 and 12 unable to work from home will be supervised in school. Please inform the school office at office@vandyke.cbeds.co.uk if you require your daughter/son to be supervised in school today.

The majority of Y11 students will be going home at approx. 2.15pm once their afternoon mock exam has finished. Students doing triple science will be leaving at approx. 2.45pm. Buses will be here as normal at 3pm and students who take the bus can wait in the library, should they wish.

The school site is very open and it is simply not possible to clear the site of snow to ensure the safety of students and staff. An update on arrangements for Tuesday will be issued this afternoon.
