Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Success
Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Success
Congratulations to the 34 Year 11 students who passed their Silver Assessed Expedition in the White Peaks.
It was a challenging start to the 3-day expedition with the combination of demanding routes plus very cold and wet weather. Participants were therefore relieved that the weekend brought sunny spells and predominantly dry conditions, which made everything a little easier.
Teams settled into the navigation, moving between check points with ease and a good pace was kept walking through the undulating terrain. A highlight for many participants was going over the beautiful Roaches.
Staff were impressed by the high level of organisation at the campsites, and everyone was rewarded with an ice cream on completion. Well done to all!
