Showjumping success for Vandyke team

In the recent NSEA County Showjumping Competition, the Vandyke Equestrian Team qualified for the national finals, to be held at Hickstead in May.

The team comprising of Taija P, Amelie B, Joanne S and Harriet T competed in both the 80 and 90cm events, with the best three scores counting toward the outcome. Three clear rounds in the 80cms saw the team come 2nd behind Thornton College. In the 90cm height, the team came 3rd behind Pipers Corner & Waddesdon.

As the highest placed Bedfordshire school, the team now qualify to compete for Vandyke and Bedfordshire. Well done to all. Some wonderful riding – and lovely to see our Prime Minister in attendance!
