Public Services students welcome visitors
As part of the public services course we have been fortunate to have an array of guest speakers come into school to share their experiences with the students.
Recently we had George and Django come in form the Therapy Dogs Nationwide charity. It was great to hear about support they provide and how they go to many places such as the police HQ.
On the 26th May 2023 the 6th Form Uniformed Protective Service and Public Service classes had a visit from Andy and Sheena who do voluntary work for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA),
In the lesson we learnt about the difference between a heart attack and a cardiac arrest. We were also able to take part in the East Anglia Air Ambulance one-hour CPR / defibrillator course where we were taught CPR. At the end of the lesson we received a certificate of participation, signed by the instructor Andy Lewis.
We would like to thank Andy and Sheena for giving up their time and for teaching us about CPR.
