New York Trip
Over half term twenty Year 13 students and staff set off at 4.30am on another exciting trip to New York. The group spent 5 days exploring the ‘Big Apple’.
Whilst in New York they visited the Empire State building at night, which is a fantastic sight, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Central Park and the amazing One World trade tower, where the lift goes from 0 to floor 102 in just 47 seconds! We all also spent some time at the Ground Zero memorial site to pay our respects. The trip saw many of us going to see various musicals on Broadway as well as, of course, the compulsory shopping trips!
Our journey ended after a fraught 36 hour delay, including an overnight stay and a journey from one side of New York to the other! Eventually back to London’s Heathrow very tired and jet lagged, but having had a brilliant time.
