Girls Football Update

Our girls’ football teams have been busy in recent weeks.

Our Under 16 squad have made it to the Bedfordshire County Cup Final, which will take place in May. They secured a brilliant 6-1 win in the semi-final against Manshead, Dunstable.

The Under 15 team have also progressed to the semi-final of the South Bedfordshire District Cup, where they will shortly take on Samuel Whitbread Academy. They are also in the semi-final of the Sisters In Sport National Cup and just one win away from competing at Lilleshall National Sports Centre! In their most recent game, they beat Oxford High School for Girls 6-1. A hat trick for Nieve C, two for Emma J, with Hollie A also on target. They will face the winners of Shrewsbury School vs Princethorpe College.

Our Under 14 team gave a great performance but sadly bowed out of the County cup, with a tight defeat to Manshead on penalty kicks.

We have also had success on the County front, with Nieve C (Y10), Esme T (Y10) and Grace C (Y11) representing the Under 16 Bedfordshire Schools team, and Freya N (Y9) representing the Under 14 team. Congratulations to all – it’s a fantastic achievement to be chosen to represent your county.
