Now that I am 17 I have moved in the 17-21 age category. This means the level of difficulty has become greater in order for me to be in the top three spots.

I competed in my first competition post-Covid in September 2021 and this was the Trial in order to qualify as a possible gymnast for the World Championships this November.  I came second with easier skills which was a great achievement for me as I knew I could have done better.

Four weeks later, was my second trial for the world championships. I showed my hardest and best skills and gained the qualifying score for the world championships finishing in First place; my first ever gold medal in my career and the first time I became British Champion! It was then a waiting game for the world team selections to come out 2 weeks after the competition.

After two of the toughest years in gymnastics with Covid and injuries I am now going to be flying over to Baku,  Azerbaijan, on  November 22nd to represent Great Britain  in the World Championships!

Mr Carroll said “We are all extremely proud of Georgi and wish her every success in Azerbaijan”
