GCSE Photography Exhibition
Young photographers at Vandyke staged an inaugural exhibition of GCSE photography on Wednesday 13 November, showcasing their skills to parents, governors and teachers.
Students spent lessons editing their work and learning how to prepare their photographs for display with teams working on designing a leaflet for visitors, mounting work, preparing the exhibition space and greeting visitors with refreshments. Work included printed photographs, concepts for display stands for films, branding for a perfume bottle, and a jacket for a computer game case.
The lively event earned positive and encouraging feedback from visitors, with one saying, “It is a privilege to be able to see the students’ hard work and I am amazed at the professional quality of the display the students’ enthusiasm for their work. The support from the school is excellent!”
