Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Assessed Expedition
84 Year 10 students, 16 staff volunteers, 8 Sixth Form helpers, 52 tents, 7kg of pasta, a mixed bag of weather plus a load of mud and good fun… it could only be a Bronze DofE Assessed Expedition!
Congratulations to all the students who took part. They can be really proud of their achievements over the two days. Sunday 26th March was particularly challenging when they experienced very wet conditions and a more demanding route, but they showed great determination and resilience and got round the Ashridge Estate to finish in Ivinghoe.
Staff members were particularly impressed with their positive attitudes and teamwork – they supported each other throughout, in true DofE spirit.
Very well done to everyone and a big thank you to the staff and Sixth form Helper teams for the time and energy they gave to allow this weekend to happen.
