A Level Trip – Biology in Action
At the beginning of December, a group of ‘A’ Level Biologist were motivated and inspired by five renowned scientists and communicators at a Biology in Action study day in London.
The programme covered a diverse range of topics:
- Recent advances in stem cell and regenerative medicine by Emily Grossman
- How genomics is allowing early detection of oesophageal cancer by surgeon Tim Underwood.
Students were enthralled by the images shown and the tales of how scientific research actually takes place, inspiring them to become pioneering scientists of the future. A great day was had by all.
