Sixth Form students take part in Opening Doors to Opportunities event at KPMG

How can you boost the chances of a stroke victim’s survival by speeding up their ambulance journey to hospital? That was the fascinating interactive challenge – based on a real-life case study – issued to a group of Y12 and Y13 students of Business, Finance and Law when they visited the Watford offices of the multinational professional services firm KPMG last week.

Working in teams, the students were tasked with devising a solution by making use of emerging technologies. Each team then presented to the rest of the group – for many, a great chance to step out of comfort zones and develop their public speaking skills. Students also had the chance to see a dynamic modern workplace in action with a tour of KPMG’s impressive ground floor office space.

Facilitated by The Talent Foundry as part of their Opening Doors to Opportunities Programme, the session was an inspiring and valuable event which the students engaged with brilliantly.
