Student Voice Volunteers deliver Christmas Hampers

Mrs Collins and Miss Green took eighteen Year 10 Student Voice volunteers to Laburnum Court sheltered Housing and Swiss Cottage Nursing home to deliver gifts of flowers and chocolates for each resident. The students  enjoyed chatting to the residents at Laburnum Court about school and Leighton Buzzard  and joined in with singing at Swiss Cottage.

Mrs Collins, who assists with student voice activities, had organised raffles and refreshments at the two performances of the school production  "School of Rock".  The money raised helped to  buy the flowers and  chocolates and also to give a £150 cheque  to the Leighton-Linslade Homeless Service. Hampers full of food, gloves, toys, toiletries were also donated to the service  by tutor groups in Years 9-11, filling the minibus with Christmas cheer.  Volunteers at the homeless service were very pleased with the generosity of students and said that the gifts would make a real difference.
