Christmas Hampers

Year 10 Student Voice volunteers visited Laburnum Court sheltered Housing and Swiss Cottage Nursing Home in the last week of term taking gifts of flowers and chocolates for each resident. The students involved enjoyed chatting to the residents and singing Christmas songs and a medley from Oliver! to them.

The students had organised a raffle, with the help of Mrs Collins, at the two performances of Oliver! The money raised helped to buy the flowers and chocolates and also to give a £90 cheque to the Leighton-Linslade Homeless Service. Hampers full of food, gloves, toys,  toiletries were also donated to the service by tutor groups in years 9-11 filling the minibus with Christmas cheer.  Volunteers at the homeless service were overcome by the generosity of students this year and said that the gifts would make a real difference.
