New York 2016

Over February half term a group of Year 12 students took part in a trip to New York.  For the trip leader, Mrs Hargreaves, it was her 13th school visit to ‘The Big Apple’, but for the students it was their first experience in the city that never sleeps!

During their visit students got the opportunity to visit the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Rockerfeller Centre and, of course, Times Square. The group had the chance to attend the  Broadway musical “Finding Neverland” which was truly suburb!  A great group meal at the Famous “Ellen’s Stardust Diner”, where  the waiters and waitresses sing show tunes as they serve you, was also a huge success.

Perhaps the most impressive visit of all was the morning we spent paying our respects at the Ground Zero Memorial and visiting the 105 floor One World Observatory, at the top of the new World Trade Centre building.
