Year 9: Fun and Games with the MK Dons

On Thursday, March 3rd representatives of the  MK Dons NCS team came in after school to work with a group of Year 9 students on team building activities. The students had a great time collaborating together making towers out of raw spaghetti and marshmallows.  Some of the students had just as good a time devouring the marshmallows once the towers had been demolished!

The added highlight of the session, however, was the arrival of MK Dons Club Captain, Dean Lewington. This was a cause of great excitement for both boys and girls in the group. Dean signed autographs on football shirts and programmes. He stayed and joined in with the activities right up until the end.

He also answered questions.  We found out that:

· He was first attached to a professional football club when he was six.

· He always knew he wanted to be a professional footballer because his father and brother were also professionals.

· The thing he likes most about being a professional footballer is playing in the matches.

· The best player he has ever played with is Dele Alli.

Many thanks to MK Dons and especially to Dean.
