School Christmas Card

We are always proud to showcase our students’ work and Christmas always proves a great opportunity to highlight the abilities of the art students. This year’s Christmas card features the beautiful artwork of Year 11 GCSE student, Lauryn Pawaar.

Head of Art, Mrs Kirby, told us “This piece was part of Lauren’s coursework for her ‘Identity Module’ and was chosen for our Christmas card because of the vibrant colours in the design and the materials used.”

Lauryn was very pleased and said, “I decided to do a simple family tree for my Identity piece and I chose to create a silk print because I really like the lustrous effect that you get from ink on silk.  The family tree itself shows my whole family through from my grandparents to my brother and me.”

We’re sure the recipients will be pleased to receive such an original and lovely Christmas card!
