Hayley Keveren

Congratulations to Year 11 student Hayley Keveren, who has been selected by England Volleyball to attend the National Talent Camp over the Christmas Holidays in Loughborough. Hayley for the past year has been attending the County Young Coaches and Officials Academy, which is lead by the School Sports Partnership through our status as County Lead for Leadership Coaching and volunteering supported by the Youth Sports Trust. The National Talent Camp is a unique four day residential experience which brings together 350 of the most talented young athletes, coaches and officials from across England.

The camp sees 200 coaches, 100 athletes and 50 officials come together to participate in a unique multi-sport, multi-role three dimensional camp, to increase individual aspiration and ambition, and develop empathy. Through the camp, young people are stretched and challenged to be ambitious and achieve their sporting best.

Working with National Governing Bodies of Sport, sports coach UK and Sports Officials UK, the camp, which is funded by Sport England, and presented by Loughborough University, offers our most promising young coaches, athletes and officials the opportunity to learn and share valuable experiences in their pursuit of sporting success.

The young people who attended were selected by their National Governing Body of Sport (NGB) because of the talent they have shown and the commitment to develop. The seven NGBs who each had a range of young coaches, athletes and officials representing them at the camp include athletics, boccia, cycling, football, swimming, table tennis and volleyball.

We work with:

· Boccia England

· England Athletics

· British Cycling

· The Amateur Swimming Association

· The Football Association

· The Tennis Foundation

· Volleyball England

Throughout the camp, young people are actively encouraged to dream and be ambitious on where their talent can take them, develop a holistic view of their own performance and understand how they will deliver when they are back in the environment of their own sport.
