Year 13 Scientists

In July, 20 aspiring ecologists from Year 13 collected various ecological data from in and around Leighton Buzzard.  The intrepid scientists collected data from sports fields, road verges, oak forests and water meadows.  They counted daisies, dandelions, snails and Homo sapiens, and took temperature, light intensity and water content reading for their research.

The data was statistically analysed to establish if there were any significant associations or correlation between the organisms and the physical factors that make up their habitat, all in the name of scientific discovery.

The data they collected was presented at a very enjoyable evening, in the form of a scientific posters to staff and parents.
