Remembrance Events

To mark Remembrance students participated in a series of special events this year, hearing from members of staff about the experiences of family members who were in the armed forces in WW1.

In particular Mr Mitchell, teacher of Art, spoke about his grandfather who fought on the western front and was captured, spending two years in a prisoner of war camp.

Mr Mitchell showed photos and medals and read out a letter signed by the King marking the soldier’s release and return home.
