GCSE Geography trip to Birmingham

On 24th & 25th September we took the entire year 11 Geographers to Birmingham to conduct their Field enquiry, worth 25% of the GCSE.

The task for the day was to collect evidence of the rebranding which has taken place over the last 15 years, focusing on Brindley place. Their investigation consisted of questionnaires, land use surveys, environmental quality surveys, footfall surveys and active participation of the shops and services on offer.

In total we took 98 students across the two days, all of whom were focused, polite and most importantly enthusiastic in their fieldwork collection.

The students had a really enjoyable day and were a credit to themselves and the school. I am extremely proud of the work they collected and look forward to marking their Controlled assessments now as I know they are all going to be brilliant!?
